~Bittersweet~

School's out for Summer! I'm done teaching preschool for the year and it is always a bittersweet feeling! I'm excited for summer and all the fun activities we have planned, but I sure will miss my cute, cute, cute class! We ended the year with a preschool party and graduation.

We played with bubbles in the sand & water table.
My class acted out the book "The Very Lazy Lady Bug" Hudson was the monkey and Porter was the bear. We also had a lady bug, tiger, crocodile, and of course an elephant!
What cuties! They practiced really hard and did such a good job!
The graduating preschoolers got their portfolios full of pictures from the last two years.
If you couldn't tell, we had a lady bug theme for the party. That was in honor of the lady bugs we had in our classroom. We got them when they were lady bug grubs. We watched them grow, make a pupa, and come out lady bugs! Did you know that lady bugs go through metamorphosis just like butterflies? It was pretty cool to watch. We let the lady bugs go in the back yard on Friday.

Anyways, a lady bug party couldn't be complete without lady bug cupcakes!

I'm excited for next year! I just LOVE teaching preschool! Since all but one of my kids graduated and will be heading off to Kindergarten, I have a lot of spots to fill. If you are interested in Little Learners Preschool, or know of anyone (in the area, of course!) that is looking for a great preschool with a small class size for their child, let me know! I'd be glad to give them a tour, meet with them, answer any questions they might have! And don't forget my website! There's a link at the top of my blog.

Backyard CAmPiN'

Last weekend was Porter & Hudson's last t-ball games. It was also the father/son camp out. Brandon didn't want to go to the actual camp out & risk missing their last games, so he decided to have a camp out in our backyard! John & Peyton joined them. They had so. much. fun! No one missed going to an actual campground! I think we will be doing this a lot this summer!

Random phone pics

We have been having some beautiful weather! It got hot enough that we put the sprinkler under the trampoline for the boys to cool off.
I'm pretty sure this is their favorite thing to do right now:)
Brody, Brody, Brody. I had to run to Micheal's for some things. All 3 kids came with me and Brody decided to have a blow-out diaper there! I actually didn't know it was a blow-out until we got out to the car. I smelled him in the store & knew I would need to change his diaper, but I decided to hurry & pay for my things & then take him (and the rest of my entourage) to the car & change him there. Well... let's just say I'm glad I have leather seats that wipe clean! And Brody got to ride home in his birthday suit. He looks happy about that!
Brody's favorite thing to eat right now are ice cream cones. And he has to have his own. No sharing. I love McDonald's kiddie cones. They are the perfect size! And look at that concentration! He's serious about his ice cream (just like his momma).
More t-ball pics. Tomorrow is their last game. It's hard to tell, but the first two pics are Hudson.
This is Porter. Last Saturday, his team played a 6&7 yr old coach-pitch team.
Porter decided he wanted to try coach-pitch. It took him a few tries, but he got it & he did a great job!

Quiet-time at our house:
I let Hudson play his Leapster during quiet time and he usually falls asleep after awhile.
Porter keeps busy any way he can!
He is so creative!
Another baby was in Brody's swing & he wasn't going to have any of that! He couldn't just let it go, so I put him on a big swing. He looks like such a big boy!

Momma's Day

I had a very special Momma's Day this year. It was awesome thanks to these guys and my bigger guy:)
The best present I got when Brandon told me he didn't have to go to meetings Sunday morning! Yay! It was soooooooo nice to have him with us on Sunday morning. When I came out to the family room I saw this "sweet" poster that Porter & Hudson made with Brandon's help. So cute! And they were sooooooo excited for me to see it!
Here's a better look.
Brandon surprised me with crepes for breakfast! He definitely knows what my favorite is! Brandon's mom came over that morning and went to church with us.

After church, Mike and Jen and the girls came over and the boys made us a yummy dinner. BBQ ribs, grilled corn-on-the-cob, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, and root beer floats. They did a great job! It was a beautiful day, a little on the hot side, so we let the kids jump on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath. I just soaked in as much sun as I could. I have been loving this sunny toasty warm weather we have been having!

Anyways, Sunday was a perfect day, thanks to my awesome hubby and wonderful sons! I love them sooooo much! I feel lucky to be their momma!

Utah Trip- Day #5

After three very busy, very long, very fun, no-nap days, we were ready to be home. The problem was we had another looong trip in the car. This picture says it all! Quite the opposite of the pic I snapped on the way to Utah!

Utah Trip- Day #4

Our entire 4th day was spent at Lagoon with Morgan and Jordyn! We love Lagoon and can't get enough of it! This year we got season passes so that when we go back to Utah in June, we can go as much as we want!

I didn't get very many pics of Porter on rides. This was a very different year at Lagoon because Porter informed us that all the kiddie rides were boring. What?! That can't already be happening! He wanted to go on all the rides that mommy and daddy were going on! The problem was that he was not tall enough for a lot of them that he wanted to ride. He was soooooo excited that he was barely tall enough for The Bat. And he was super bummed that he wasn't tall enough for The Rocket (a ride that blasts you straight up in the air super high and then you free fall down!). This kid has no fear!!! Anyways, the rides that he did ride on, I was riding on also, so I didn't get very many pics of him.
The Odyssey: Hudson and Grandpa's favorite ride:)
It was fun that Brandon could come with us this time, but he had a mishap on Wicked. We were on the ride and BOTH of Brandon's phones fell out of his pocket! His personal phone was toast:( and they couldn't find his work phone until after we left, so it's being sent here. Luckily they said that it works!

Utah Trip- Day #3

Dinosaur Park:
We started the day at the Dinosaur Park. My boys love coming here every time we are in Utah.
Hudson wouldn't have anything to do with the mechanical dinosaurs. He plugged his ears so he wouldn't have to hear them!

Crystal Hot Springs:
After we went to the Dinosaur Park, we headed swimming at Crystal Hot Springs. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures, but it was a ton of fun and my boys LOVED swimming in the warm water.
Fishing:
It's a tradition for Grandpa to take the boys fishing when they come to visit. This time daddy got to be apart of it, also! These pictures aren't in the right order, but I think you get the idea. Within two minutes of being there, all three of my boys had caught a fish!!! Porter even caught a second one. This place is perfect for little boys that don't have patience and lose interest quickly!

Date Night:
If our day wasn't jam-packed to begin with, after we were done fishing, my mom & dad let Brandon & I go on a date night! We have to take advantage of free babysitters when we can! We went to In-n-Out and got burgers, fries, and milkshakes (this was  Brandon's first time there), then we went to the Hunger Games. We both read the books and have been dieing to see the movie, but we have had absolutely no time. It was worth the wait! We loved it! Thanks mom and dad, again, for letting us have a date night:)
