Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!

We have been doing a ton of swimming so far this summer. Not only have we been swimming in Grandma's pool, but Porter &Hudson just finished taking swim lessons. They were in different classes right next to each other.
They both did awesome!
I was worried that Hudson wouldn't want to get in the water & participate, but he did everything his teacher asked him to and I could tell that he was really having fun! He always had a smile on his face!
Porter is all but swimming. I bet by the end of the summer, he will be swimming all over the place!
And look how cute Hudson is:)
It was so funny to see Porter next to the other kids in his class. He was by far the littlest and youngest!
I signed the boys up for swim lessons last November, and at that point, Hudson wouldn't even stand on the platform. He has come a looooong way!
This picture's tiny, but I was zoomed in as far as I could. Porter got to jump off one of the platforms.
I am so glad Hudson isn't scared of the water anymore!
Porter loved his class and all the fun, new things they got to do.

And this little guy was so awesome the whole time! He was so good waiting for his brothers to finish every day, and didn't complain about not getting in the water himself. Luckily, yesterday Brandon took off work and came to watch. Then we all went swimming. Brody loved it & Porter had a blast going down the slide and swinging on the rope!

Yummm!

I'm always on a never-ending quest for the perfect 100% whole-wheat bread recipe.Well, I think that quest is over! One of my friends from church gave me this recipe for bread and I have been making it for a couple months now! No more store-bought bread in our house!
I LOVE this recipe because it is so simple and easy. I can make fresh bread every few days.
  • it's made from freshly ground flour, yeast, salt, honey, and oil. No wheat gluten needed!
  • it gives directions for a bread mix that you put in gallon bags and put in your freezer until you are ready to make bread. So while I'm grinding wheat, I make a bunch of these mixes, so I don't have to grind my wheat every time I make bread!
  • when I'm ready to make some bread, all I have to do is stir the wet ingredients together with the mix, then let my Kitchen Aid do the needing for 10 min. The bread rises for only 20 min. in a warm oven, then it cooks for 25 min. It only takes 1 hour from start to finish!!!

And to me, there's nothin' better than warm bread fresh from the oven with butter & honey! Yum!

Camping at Lagoon!

This year we didn't just visit Lagoon for the day. We camped there! It was so. much. fun. We spent two nights in the trailer and had three whole days at Lagoon!
Hudson ready to ride the Dragon ride with me!
Sorry I cut my mom's head off. It was hard to get everyone in the picture. Brody got to ride the Tiki Boat ride with us!
Waiting in line for the roller coaster Bombora. Speaking of lines, there were hardly any! We got soooooo lucky! We went on a Tues. Wed. Thurs. instead of the weekend and those were definitely the days to go!
Waiting in the Odysea line. Both Hudson & Brody stayed cool by playing in the water & rocks.
The Lady Bug drop (shown) and the Dinosaur Drop were Hudson's all time favorite rides! We rode them like 50 million times. Finally, on the last day when neither my mom or I could muster up the strength to ride it one more time, we decided to send Porter & Hudson by themselves. Hudson's technically not tall enough to ride by himself, but they didn't notice. Then my mom and I wished we would have sent him by himself on day one, so we could have avoided riding those rides so much! Oh well! Whatever makes my kiddos happy!
Look how cute Brody looks! He was so little to be on rides by himself! That's my baby growing up:(
That is Brody under his blanket. He was playing in the middle of the walkway, rolling around on the ground with his blanket. Yuck! That blankie was thrown in the wash ASAP!
The Odysea, Grandpa's favorite ride & a favorite of my kids'.
Porter & I on the Odysea.
Eating lunch at Lagoon-A-Beach. I never get any pics there, because I don't want to ruin my camera. Maybe if I get a waterproof camera...
To say the boys were exhausted after three days at Lagoon would be an understatement!
Train ride with Grandma & Grandpa.
