For home school we got out one of the Magic School Bus science kits Porter got for Christmas. It was all about dinosaurs and it was the same time I was teaching about dinosaurs for preschool. Perfect!
Porter got to make his own fossils.
He had so much fun!
Did you know there are different kinds of fossils? I didn't! I love when I am learning right along with my kids!
There's true form fossils, mold fossils, cast fossils & trace fossils.
After he finished, he got to teach the preschoolers all about fossils! What a good educational experience for him!
I can't wait to open up the next science kit!
Look who now joins Porter on top of the fridge! I suppose it won't be long before Brody parties up there, too!
I love this picture Porter made while we were talking about ocean animals in preschool. He has become such the little artist! This is coming from a boy that would NEVER sit down to color, draw, write, scribble, anything, when he was younger. He just had no interest & I couldn't change his mind. Now he LOVES making art:)
The past few weeks have been rain free, so we have been going outside as much as possible. It's been cold, but I'll take cold any day over the rain! I think my boys would, too, because they can still go outside & play in the cold.
We got out their bubbles they got in their stockings & had fun!
On Saturday we went to our first Oregon State wrestling match of the year!
The Stimpson's came with us & I'm so glad they decided to become Beaver fans instead of Duck fans:)
Go Beavs! Btw- they won! By a lot! We are going to several more matches throughout the season & we love it!
We had a game night for FHE on Monday. That was so much fun! Hudson dominated in Chutes & Ladders, and Porter loves playing Apples to Apples, even though he really doesn't understand it:) Brandon also taught him how to play war & he wins every time! We made chocolate chip cookies in a mug for our treat & I think that has become our favorite FHE treat (besides Limeberry, of course!) This was the second week in a row that we made 'em. Yum!
